Matt coordinates Exploration Uplink, a project focused on bringing a hands-on science and lunar exploration experience to students through the use of telerobotic rovers. Matt supports other projects with expertise in software systems engineering and science outreach.

Matt brings years of experience with open innovation, hands-on education, and participatory science activities intended to broaden access to science, engineering and exploration, including project management and technical management of prize competitions under the NASA Centennial Challenges Program. Matt also led the process to establish the Regolith Simulant Testbed, a simulated lunar surface analog and has led multiple field deployments of robotic systems at remote lunar analog sites.
